A whole season of referee assignments. Computed in seconds. Governed by your rules.

RefDel replaces the spreadsheet marathon of assigning referees and delegates. The engine is configured to your federation's own rule book through consultation — and your assigners keep the final word on every match.

The product

One shared matchday HQ — not circulating spreadsheets

All assigners work over the same live data: the engine proposes a complete season, people review, swap and approve. Manual decisions lock and are never overwritten. Every change lands in the audit log with a name and a reason.

Assignment view — late unavailability flagged with the concrete conflict, manual picks locked. (Demonstration data, football configuration.)

Your rules, not ours

Configured to your rule book — not the other way round

No two federations assign officials the same way. RefDel ships with a rules engine, not with opinions: we configure it to your written regulations and your unwritten practice — qualification levels per competition, own-club protection, workload caps, rest periods, travel limits, personal restrictions from the committee. Every rejection carries a plain-language reason.

Hard rules are never broken

Unavailability, one person in one place, own club home and away, qualification per competition level, protected young officials.

Soft preferences are optimised

Travel for the whole crew, fair workload within performance groups, match difficulty matched to crew strength, venue blocks that save thousands of kilometres.

Exceptions stay human

Committee-approved exceptions are recorded as such. Assigners may override anything — the system marks it, logs it and defends it against regeneration.

How we work

Consultation first. Software second.

RefDel is delivered as a guided rollout, not a login and a manual. A typical engagement:

01

Consultation with your committee

We sit down over your regulations, competition structure and current practice — including the rules nobody ever wrote down.

02

Rules & data configured

Referee lists, fixtures and availability mapped once, in the formats you already use. Your rule book becomes engine configuration.

03

Pilot vs. your manual plan

One competition or one month, side by side with your assigners' own plan. Differences discussed rule by rule.

04

Season operation with support

Your assigners run the season; we adjust rules as reality evolves. Changes are typically live within days.

“The cross-check found conflicts we didn't know about — and the whole round was fixed in one click.

Common questions

Before you write to us

Does RefDel replace our assigners?

No. It replaces their spreadsheet. The engine does the computation; your assigners review, adjust and approve, and their decisions are locked against any regeneration. The point is control with less drudgery, not automation without accountability.

Which sports does it fit?

Any sport where a federation nominates officials to fixtures — football, handball, basketball, volleyball, floorball, futsal, ice hockey. Crew composition (referee pairs, trios, referee plus assistants plus delegate) is configuration.

What about our competition information system?

RefDel imports fixtures from and exports nominations to your existing IS in its file formats today; direct API integration is on the roadmap. Nothing is ripped out or replaced.

Where does it run and who sees the data?

A web application — nothing to install, works on the hall Wi-Fi and on a phone. Access is limited to accounts your federation approves; personal data of officials stays within your instance and every change is attributable.

What does it cost?

An annual licence scaled to the size of the federation, set deliberately below public-procurement thresholds. The initial consultation is free — you leave it with an honest assessment of fit, whether or not you buy.

Start with a conversation

Write a few lines about your federation — competitions, number of officials, how assignments are done today. We reply with an honest assessment and, if it makes sense, a pilot proposal on your own fixtures.
